DonationCoder.com is running another coding contest. This one will begin as soon as the C++ Builder one ends, July 15, 2006.
The task: Your task is to invent and program a game in one of two possible categories: An audio-output-only game or a switch-input only game. About Accessible Games: Accessible games are games designed to be playable by people with disabilities. Some games involve only audio output, for the visually impaired. Others are "switch games" where the only input is a single simple switch like a button or a single key on the keyboard, for simpler interaction. The prizes: There are over $5,000 worth of prizes in this contest. Some winners may be invited to present a talk about the development of their game at the next Game Developers Conference (GDC), as part of the Accessibility Special Interest Group. Some winners may be invited to submit a chapter/article on their game for publication. Plus some fun prizes just for entering, like DonationCoder.com mugs and tshirts. The deadline for submission of your game: September 15th, 2006 Lots more info, official rules, etc: http://agamecontest.donationcoder.com Contest Sponsors: DonationCoder.com, IGDA, One Switch, AudioGames.net, Game-Accessibility.com -------------------- |
